Cancelling your policy
If you don’t need your Optional Monthly Subscription, you can reduce your Cancellation Cover amount to £0. Any changes to your subscription will come into effect in the next calendar month. So your Cancellation Cover will continue for the remainder of the month, but will reduce down to £0 for the next.
If you decide to reinstate your cover at a later date, you can toggle it back on — no problem.
If you cancel your Optional Monthly Subscription within 14 days of starting your subscription, you are entitled to a full refund — as long as you haven’t started a trip or made a claim during this time.
If you uninstall the app from your device, your Wapp cover won’t automatically stop. You will need to cancel your policy first if you no longer need to use Wapp.
However, if you do not have the app installed on your device, we will not be able to start cover for any new trips because we won’t know when you are travelling.
To cancel your policy, you’ll need to log in to Wapp and go to ‘My account’. Here you’ll be able to cancel your policy. Cancelling your policy will mean that any current active subscriptions will be cancelled from the end of that calendar month, and any On-Trip Cover you’ve set up will end immediately.
Cancelling your policy will remove any information we hold about travellers, including their health information, from your app. We won’t remove your details from Wapp — so you’ll still have an account and be able to see your billing history.
If you’re thinking about using Wapp for a future trip, it might be easier to keep your policy running. If you don’t have an Optional Monthly Subscription, then you won’t be billed until your next trip anyway. Keeping your details stored will mean that you only need to re-enter your health check information and any additional travellers when setting up your cover next time.
