You will have to provide, at your own expense, a copy of a positive Covid-19 test result. You will not be covered for claims for contracting COVID-19 where this is not proven by a medically approved test showing a positive result.
You need to have had the recommended vaccination(s) against Covid-19 to be covered for claims that relate to you contracting COVID-19 before or during your trip. You will also need to provide evidence that you have been vaccinated.
If you are not vaccinated, you could still be covered for claims that are not related to you getting Covid-19, such as emergency medical expenses and lost personal possessions.
You will not be covered for the following claims relating to Covid-19:
• Any claim where you contract Covid-19 and you have not had the recommended vaccination(s).
• Any claim because you or your travel companion can’t complete the full Covid-19 vaccination course before your departure date due to delays in supply or changes in government policy.
• You will also not be covered for any claim where you do not hold the required confirmation of vaccination documentation, for example a vaccination passport.
We will pay a daily benefit where you, as an isolated case, test positive for Covid-19 and are required to isolate. We do not pay this benefit if you have not tested positive for Covid-19 or where you are part of a wider group of people placed in quarantine or isolation, such as the whole of a cruise ship, the inhabitants of a town, city, county or country, or people returning from a specific place, resort or country.
