Destinations

Am I covered to travel anywhere?

Not quite. For your policy to be valid, you must check that the destination you’re travelling to is safe to visit. For example:

  • You will not be covered if you travel to any destination or region where the Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) has issued advice against all travel.
  • You will also not be covered if you travel to any non-European destination or region where the Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) has issued advice against all but essential travel.
  • We will still cover you to travel within Europe even when the Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) has issued advice against all but essential travel. However, claims that relate to the reason for the travel advice will not be covered.

When you land in a country, if there is currently advice against all or all but essential travel from the FCDO, then we will do our best to notify you that we cannot cover your trip to that destination. However, it is your responsibility to check this information before you travel in the first place.

Some countries may also be listed as safe but have specific regions that are unsafe to travel to. It’s important that you check the guidelines as you won’t be covered to travel to any region against FCDO advice.
